Consulate General Guangzhou
Introduction
One of the main tasks of the Consulate General is to promote economic relations between the Netherlands and the provinces Guangdong, Fujian, Hainan, and the autonomous region Guangxi Zhuang. This region has good opportunities for trade and investment. How can this promotion be of your help?
The Consulate General has several ways to provide usable information and data. First is through this web site, that aims to be the pivot of the communication between the Consulate General and the Dutch trade and industry. We try to publish as much information as possible. Focus is on market data, market reviews, local government and regulations, main sectors of industry and business information for the four
provinces, and market reports
Secondly, if your company is in the stage of entering the market, the Consulate General can help you finding your way around. This includes getting you in touch with translators, chauffeurs and, in case you want to have more detailed market data, research associates. Also, the Consulate General can try to introduce you to local authorities. It depends on the type of industry whether we are able to do so. Industries that are most likely to be welcomed by authorities are industries where the government is stimulating foreign investment. An example of this is the environmental sector. Should we think it possible to introduce you to the authorities, we are always willing to do so.
Should your company be in the stage of making a business deal, the Consulate General can help you to get connected to legal services. After all, the basis of your investment or business in China is a proper contract. To limit future disputes, it is highly advisable that you get well informed about contracts and its consequences by a law firm. We recommend that you draw up your business contract with the help of a recognized law firm. The Consulate General has a database of foreign law firms. In case of disputes, the Consulate General can back you up by using it's influence.
When your company is already established, we can support your presence. The Consulate General can promote your business in case we hear of any business opportunities that might be of your benefit. In order to do so, we need to know who you are and what business you are in. Please leave your contact addresses with us.
The Consulate General in Guangzhou: your anchor for trade missions. Entering the Chinese market through participating in trade missions is, in our opinion, a very likely way to get to know the Chinese market. Because the Consulate General is the central organizer, so the logistical issues are already taken of your hands. Also, matchmaking processes, translation services, etc.. are taken care of. You are welcomed to join our trade missions any time!
The Consulate General does project identification. We focus on investment projects and tenders that can be of interest to the Dutch trade and industry. They are then published on our web site.
Finally, the Consulate General does lobbying and organizes Road Shows. During a Road Show, business men of one sector pay visits to the (provincial) government department that is responsible for the relevant sector. They hold mini seminars and matchmaking's. You too can participate in these events! In
case you have further questions or need assistance with regard to your
activities in South China, we welcome you to contact us: Contact
