Holland Product Positioning

Holland Product Positioning or HPP refers to the combined efforts from a large number of companies of a branch organization to get access to the Chinese market by way of using a product oriented approach. This approach has been developed by the Consulate General in Guangzhou in cooperation with the Netherlands government economic network in China and the EVD (The Agency for International Business and Cooperation of the Ministry of Economic Affairs).

The approach is based on extensive market research throughout the years 2003 and 2004, and centered around a combination of activities. These activities consist of the establishment of a Website for the entire branch, the marketing thereof, other promotional activities, and especially the monitoring and analysis of the various activities of the branch.

The overall aim of Holland Product Positioning is to increase Dutch exports. By analyzing the market forces in China, the purchasing channels and -behaviour of end-users, and the effect of various types of marketing for the participating branch organizations, exporting companies in the Netherlands' can benefit from our findings and recommendations.

Each year, the EVD and the Netherlands' governmental network in China are assisting a number of branch organizations in their efforts to establish themselves in the Chinese market. For the year 2004, five branch organizations have started their market entry into China by means of this approach. They are:

The Aerospace sector. Please visit www.holland-aerospace.com for details
